Diocese of Raleigh: Director of the Office of Worship

Requirements:

The successful candidate is a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with a true love for God, His Church, and the Sacred Liturgy.

A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Theology or higher: three years required, five years preferred of pertinent experience, preferably in a Catholic environment; practicing Catholic, strong leadership and communication skills, oral and written.

 

The successful candidate will have completed a Master's of Licentiate degree in Liturgy or Liturgical Theology.

 

The successful candidate will have three to five years of significant experience in planning and coordinating Diocesan and/or parish liturgies; have an understanding of the Spanish language (fluency preferred; not required), and Hispanic liturgical customs.

  

Responsibilities:

The Director of the Office of Worship is responsible to assist the Diocesan Bishop in his/her role as the principle liturgist of the Diocese.

The Director serves as a resource on liturgical matters to the Diocesan Bishop and to the parishes of the Diocese. The Director will also provide leadership and support in the following areas:

  • Coordinating all Episcopal and Diocesan liturgies, recommends particular norms and praxis in keeping with the universal liturgical norms of the Church
  • Conduct liturgical formation on the Diocesan and parish levels in appropriate collaboration with Diocesan offices
  • Reaching stated goals within a prompt yet reasonable time frame

Requirements:

The University of Southern Mississippi is seeking a Director of Development for the College of Business Administration to lead a comprehensive, integrated fundraising effort that will play a significant role in the University’s planned capital campaign. St. Mary's University Director of Gift and Estate Planning

Requirements:

Diocese of Raleigh: Parish Auditor

Requirements:

The Diocese of Raleigh is currently seeking an experienced Finance/Accounting Professional to fill an immediate opening for Parish Auditor in the Business Services Division.

 

The successful candidate will have a BA/BS degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA or MBA preferred with knowledge of the Catholic Church); at least three years experience in internal/external auditing; and will have strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:


Primary Responsibilities: The Director of Stewardship and Institutional Advancement is responsible for the creation and implementation of a multi-faceted giving program that builds upon the currently successful annual appeal while introducing new and innovative approaches to dramatically advance a major gifts initiative to achieve the Bishop’s vision for the future. Reaching stated goals within a prompt yet reasonable time frame is a priority.

The Director is responsible for the oversight of all stewardship and advancement activities of the Diocese, to include the planning and visioning process for creating new programs and their required infrastructure. The existing activities related to the annual appeal should be advanced to address the needs of one of the fastest growing dioceses in the country. A major gifts program should be established to capitalize on the dynamism and enthusiasm of a Bishop who has a bold plan to address the needs of the Diocese.

Specific Responsibilities: The Director is expected to administer his/her own portfolio of major gift prospects as well as to coordinate and facilitate the solicitation and stewardship activities of the Bishop and his portfolio. The Director will also provide leadership in the following areas:

Manage and direct the department staff;
Plan and direct Diocesan capital campaigns;
Direct the Bishop’s Annual Appeal;
Oversee the Diocesan planned giving program;
Provide consultation and direction to parishes conducting capital campaigns;
Direct programs that recruit, train and steward the involvement of volunteer efforts that support stewardship and advancement;
Oversee the Diocesan grant process and assist parishes and schools with soliciting private foundation funds;
Provide direction and consultation to Diocesan school development staff and volunteers;
Manage and direct the Director of Development for the Diocesan office of Catholic Charities.

University of South Carolina-Senior Director of Development, Moore School of Bus

Requirements:


The Senior Director of Development-Moore School of Business is a senior member of the University Development team. Reporting to the Executive Director for University Development, he/she will be responsible for the management and coordination of fundraising activities of the Moore School of Business and supervises the School's Director(s) of Development. Additionally the Senior Director of Development will manage a portfolio of major gift prospects.

As the University enters a significant campaign, the Senior Director of Development will work with the Executive Director for University Development to coordinate all fundraising activity and capital campaign programs for the school. The Senior Director of Development will not only be a manager, but a coach to his/her staff.

Responsibilities:


The Senior Director of Development will also:
• Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects.
• Plan, develop and implement major gift fundraising for the Moore School of Business.
• Participate in campaign planning.
• Work closely with the Dean and senior administrators, as well as key volunteers.
• With the Executive Director for University Development, recruit, select, train and supervise the Director(s) of Development for the Moore School of Business.
• Participate in the formulation of university-wide fundraising policy.
• Maintain familiarity with important issues as they relate to higher education and keep current with developments in institutional advancement through workshops and seminars with peers in the field.
• Teach in demonstrated areas of expertise including development, fundraising, campaigns, etc.

Senior Director of Development, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences

Requirements:


The Senior Director of Development is responsible for the design, leadership, and implementation of development programs in support of the major gift fund-raising goals of a unit or units of the Texas A&M Foundation. This position reports jointly to the assistant vice president for development and a unit head.

• Baccalaureate degree; Master's degree preferred;
• Minimum five (5) years of fund-raising experience with demonstrated history of success;
